An elevator repairman died after he was trapped while fixing an elevator at a Louisville, KY, hospital.

William Motley had been working on an elevator for several hours one day at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. He was on a ladder inside the shaft when he became pinned by one of the elevators.

The coroner’s office said he died of multiple blunt force injuries and traumatic asphyxiation.
