New Basic First Aid Release from American Safety & Health Institute
The American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) introduces an enhanced, content-rich
November 10, 2008 – EUGENE, OR – American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), a member of Health & Safety Institute (HSI) family of brands, announces the launch of new and improved Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace training materials. This release incorporates both Instructor and Student resources.
In direct response to requests by first aid instructors, the ASHI Basic First Aid Instructor Package features an enhanced DVD (77 minutes) that covers over 50 emergency care topics. The new video footage has been shot in hi-definition making HSI an industry-leader in utilizing this technology. This release also includes a revised Instructor Guide with a new instructor-friendly layout as well as a modified PowerPoint® presentation that corresponds directly to the new student materials. The new Student Handbook offers larger, graphic-rich pictures in an easier-to-comprehend format. These new materials continue to follow the 2005 guidelines for first aid (new guidelines will not be released until 2010.)
‘Our Instructors have asked for product improvements and we are very excited to release this updated training materials package for ASHI.’ Bill Clendenen, CEO, maintains. ‘This new edition of Basic First Aid represents our dedication to provide high quality products at a tremendous value.’
ASHI Students will also be able to utilize either a traditional print- or digital-book format. The digital-book version of Basic First Aid will give students anytime access to the same emergency care reference materials as contained in the hard copy. Accessed through the ASHI Digital Book Download Center (ashinstitute.org/digitalbook.htm), students do not need to purchase additional electronic devices or software to access the handbook.
‘This introduction of new Basic First Aid training materials further enhances the tools available to the ASHI Instructor,’ said Ralph Shenefelt, Executive Program Director for HSI. ‘ASHI Instructors appreciate having an abundance of resources such as video, PowerPoint and lecture support materials, which allow them to design their classes using a ‘toolbox approach’ to best suit their teaching style and their students’ learning requirements.’
The new ASHI Basic First Aid Instructor Package, containing an Instructor Guide, DVD, PowerPoint CD, Instructor Support CD, and sample Student Handbook will sell for $99. Special introductory pricing is available for a limited time.
