A plumber working at a high school was killed in a freak incident when he was hit by a stream of highly pressurized water.
Chad Unverzagt, 55, of Hoosier A-1 Sanitary Sewer Service, had been called to a high school in New Castle, IN, for a sewage problem.
Unverzagt lost a massive amount of blood from a neck wound. Emergency responders believe the plumber was hit in the neck by the high-pressure stream of water.
He was rushed to a hospital in Indianapolis where he was pronounced dead.
A school maintenance worker who was assisting Unverzagt wasn’t injured.
Indiana OSHA will investigate.
