It just goes to show that an occupational fatality can happen anywhere: OSHA is investigating the death of a tree worker at a nudist club in New Jersey.
The unidentified worker was struck on the head by a falling tree limb at Sky Farm Nudist Club in Bernards Township in northern New Jersey. The man was an employee of Tamke Tree Experts based in the same township.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A call for a Medevac helicopter was cancelled when first responders determined the man had died. Police say a four-foot long tree limb weighing about 40 pounds fell 70 feet onto the worker’s head. The employee was wearing a hard hat and other safety gear at the time.
The man was helping to remove a large tree at the nudist camp.

Distractions or not - you don’t place yourself in the “fall zone”! Be aware of the potential hazards. While the co-worker was above doing the cutting, I would have stationed myself in a position to observe the local populace to ensure that none of them would place themselves in harms way. You know, when ladies start chatting, they may become oblivious to things happening around them. I know - it’s a rough job, but someone’s got to do it!
