Know anyone dressing up as a zombie for Halloween? You might want to pass along this story.
When 16 people were injured after falling from a platform on the set of the film, Resident Evil: Retribution, police and paramedics had difficulty assessing injuries of some of the actors dressed as zombies.
Several actors dressed as zombies were sent to a hospital in Toronto, where the movie is being filmed. Some had to be treated for broken bones.
Confusion surrounding the incident was compounded by the movie’s zombie theme.
“It did kind of catch us off guard when we walked in,” Sgt. Andrew Gibson told reporters. Even though there was some momentary confusion for responders, Gibson said, ”We were quickly able to figure out who was injured and who was in character.”
The film, which stars Milla Jovovich, who wasn’t among the injured, is slated for release in September 2012.
