Jeff Dalto is a learning experience designer and performance improvement specialist with more than 20 years of professional experience. Many of these years were spent in safety and safety training. Jeff helped to create the ANSI/ASSP Z490.2 national standard for online EHS training and is currently on the team revising the Z490.1 national standard for all EHS training; additionally, he was nominated Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) by the ASSP’s Training and Communications Practice Specialty in 2020 and frequently publishes in the ASSP’s Professional Safety Journal as well as elsewhere. Jeff is currently completing a Masters degree with Boise State University in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning and is one of three contributing authors who created the chapter on safety training in the upcoming revision of the ASSP’s Safety Professionals Handbook, 3rd edition. You can catch Jeff presenting at the upcoming ASSP Safety 2021 Virtual Conference on the topic “Safety is Learning.”
